The role:
Our passionate and motivated Auckland team have an opportunity for a Digital and Application Specialist to join our high performing Business Systems team. In this dynamic and fast paced role, you will showcase your proactive eye for detail, identifying opportunities to enhance our processes and solve problems as they arise. Working collaboratively with a diverse group of business users, you will have the opportunity to contribute your knowledge to various IT solutions and projects.
Exceptional communication skills, problem solving and being self-motivated will come naturally to you, along with a desire to learn, grow with the business and develop your career. There are times when life can be very busy in our office, so having the ability to remain calm under pressure is important for all of us. Supported by the Business Systems Manager, your role will be varied and interesting.
Key aspects include responding to and resolving open tickets by providing first and second line incident support to end users for our systems and applications; performing problem investigation, root cause analysis and evaluating solutions, as well as collaborating with external vendors to coordinate IT projects. You will work closely with our internal customers so the ability to communicate confidently, ask great questions and translate those requirements into digital solutions is a must.
To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone with experience in the following areas:

  • Experience in a similar role such as a technical service desk environment
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement
  • Data modelling, SQL query and reporting tools
  • SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and report writing (we are open to the right candidate that is keen to develop the capability)
  • A customer-centric attitude and a collaborative approach to resolving and implementing initiatives

Te tūranga – The role Our Payments and Clearing team is growing and transforming to provide the market with a future focused payments environment. We are offering a supportive and flexible work environment where you’ll be encouraged to collaborate, use your initiative and build strong relationships with a number of stakeholders. The Payments and Clearing Officer is responsible for supporting the Exchange Settlement Account System (ESAS) and Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) to ensure that transactions between financial institutions are settled as per agreed timelines. In this role you’ll provide excellent customer service to our internal and external stakeholders of both NZClear and ESAS systems, including other key Financial Market Infrastructure providers (Registries and NZX). You will also need to work collaboratively with your fellow team members. The Payments and Clearing Officer role may involve shift work (Rostered, mornings only 7:30am – 4:00pm & 8:00am – 4:30pm). This is a full time fixed term role through to 31 August 2023. Ō pūkenga – About you To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • A background in the banking or financial market sectors
  • Reconciliation experience
  • A demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
  • A passion for mastering new systems with the ability to learn quickly
  • Knowledge of payments clearing systems
  • Experience with NZClear, ESAS or SWIFT is advantageous.

The role:

As a cashier within our cage department you’ll be responsible for providing efficient and professional service to all our customers. You’ll be be working from the Cashiering window and you’ll make sure our customers feel welcome when they arrive and help with any transaction request. The environment is a very busy one so the ability to multitask and think on your feet will hold you in good stead, also doing so with a positive attitude and a huge smile on your face.

You:

First and foremost, you’ll have previous customer service experience in your locker, and you’ll be a friendly, enthusiastic and bubbly person by nature. You’ll love spending your day helping and assisting – offering the best service you can to our customers. You will have some previous experience of cash handling – a previous banking background would be great! You’ll be a confident communicator; have a good level of numeracy and data entry skills and you’ll be proficient in Microsoft office – word and excel. You’ll be working in a highly regulated environment, so you’ll be comfortable working within set policies and guidelines so attention to detail along with accuracy will be some of your top skills.

The must-have’s:

  • 24/7 availability to work on a rotating roster across a 7 day week.
  • A Certificate of approval is needed for this role which we’ll support with! You’ll just need to be over 20 years with a good credit history to be able to obtain one.

At this stage we’re looking to have a start date of Monday 15th August for the training to commence.
